Description

We are looking for some enthusiastic volunteers to help out with our Friday evening youth group. The group runs from 6-9pm and is split into two parts;

6:00pm - 7:15pm is the younger youth group.
7:30pm - 9:00pm is the gaming group aimed at a slightly older audience.

Volunteers are welcome to come to either or both parts or to drop-in for however long is possible for them (example, 6-8pm). It is something that is flexible, that can be adjusted if required. The group runs every Friday, however there may also be the odd Saturday activity (subject to funding). The hours for this would depend on the event.

Experience with youth work, BSL (British Sign Language), and/or individuals with sensory needs is greatly appreciated, but not a requirement. Being friendly, patient, enthusiastic and willing to get stuck in, are the traits that are the most desired.

For both groups, the volunteer would be asked to help set up and clean up, if required, and to involve themselves with the group's activities. Keeping an eye on proceedings to ensure everyone has full access and that they can have fun in a safe environment.

The Centre is fully compliant with all Scottish government Covid-19 restrictions.
