By giving us a few hours per month, you will be helping this brilliant team of volunteers and staff to offer a range of valued services to the community in and around Dunblane. As Trustees, we share the responsibility for good governance, management and control of the Centre. All trustees play a part in financial decision-making and monitoring, to ensure the Centre has a healthy long-term future.
The Centre Manager, Finance Assistant and Trustee Board need your expertise in these areas:
Advising on set up of financial reporting systems
Agreeing budgets and controls with manager
Ensure the financial control processes are set up and managed effectively
Regularly monitoring income v expenditure
Dealing with bank when senior input required
Being aware of available rates/ products when needed
Monitoring the investment portfolio
Meeting investment managers for regular reviews
Gathering financial data for board meetings
Meeting with auditors following accounting year end
Agreeing detail of accounts for final draft and signing off
Annual financial review with accountants before final approval
Guidance for finance assistant when required
Overview of financial risk register
