Description

AUScot now seeks new trustees to join the current Board of four members, seeking to expand to six members. The role of Treasurer will become vacant in September 2022 and, as such, good accounting skills would be required. In addition, following a Board skills audit, AUScot is also looking to recruit individuals with general business skills with a focus on fund-raising, business development, and HR. We particularly encourage autistic applicants with relevant professional and lived experience. We want our board to reflect the community of autistic people in Scotland, and as such we encourage applicants from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic communities as they are currently under-represented in Autism Understanding Scotland. We welcome applications from members of the LGBTQ+ Community including trans and non-binary candidates.

1.5 hours a month

Restrictions

We are an autistic led organisation, meaning our Board must be 50% or more autistic We are seeking a majority of autistic applicants, although applications from non autistic people are welcomed too
Experience required: Accountancy / Finance Advocacy / Lobbying / Campaigning Business / HR / Management Education / Training Event Management / Organising First Aid / Medical / Therapy Fundraising Jornalism / Media A good knowledge of the challenges faced by the autistic community would be desirable
Minimum age: 18

Training details: We are happy to upskill our Board Members in their understanding of autism, and discuss any other training needs they would require to fulfil the role
