We need your help! Our busy Restart Showroom is busier than ever selling donated items of furniture, household items, electrical goods and bric-a-brac. This helps the planet by reusing and recycling and helps people access low cost items at a time they need it most. If you would like to be a part of our amazing local charity and have some spare time to volunteer, we would love to hear from you. Key activities include: • Meeting and greeting customers in a friendly, welcoming manner • Processing cash and card payments • Scheduling deliveries and collections for our busy van • Responding to queries in person, over the phone and via social media • Sorting, cleaning and merchandising donated goods • Organising eye-catching displays • Uploading photos and item descriptions to social media What could a volunteer gain from the experience: Volunteering at Restart is a great way to meet new people in a busy environment. Ayrshire Ukraine Community group aims are to raise as much money as possible to aid the needs of those in Ukraine who are affected by the ongoing war. The monies raised also supports those who have been temporarily relocated to the UK. Over the last 2.5 years since the war commenced, the group has assisted and supported the incoming displaced persons fleeing the war zone with approximately 350 refugees now settled in Ayrshire homes We are currently recruiting a Retail Assistant for our shop unit in Ayr. Main duties: Greeting customers, cash handling (optional), keeping shop floor clean and tidy, putting out stock, sorting through donations, pricing. Skills & experience required: No experience required as full support given. Are you happy to help, to be part of a team then we want to hear from you. Whether you love cleaning, chatting or love to organise, or have an eye for fashion? Or are you a social media wiz! All we ask is you have a couple of hours to spare and want to help a good cause!
