Description

RSB helps couples in Scottish Borders resolve relationship difficulties and, where necessary, helps separating couples reach amicable arrangements for the upbringing of their children. The members of the committee oversee this important work.

Committee members support the small staff group of 5 in the above tasks and ensure proper governance of the organisation in line with OSCR requirements.

Organisation aims and objectives

Counselling and mediation of people with relationship difficulties.

Restrictions

Experience required: An interest and/or experience in relationship counselling or mediation either in a professional capacity or as someone who has used this kind of service. Typically, our members have a background in the voluntary sector, social work, law or counselling or personal experience of using counselling or mediation services. A willingness to take responsibility for ensuring good governance. Some knowledge of financial systems would be desirable.
Travel details: Generally remotely with occasional meetings in person in Scottish Borders.
Minimum age: 18

Support

Training details: Members will be briefed on the work of RSB and the role of the committee and will receive minutes of recent committee meetings.
