Scottish Wildlife Trust welcome volunteers to join our regular work parties at Spey Bay wildlife reserve. You can help us undertake useful tasks which benefit wildlife and people, learn new skills and meet new people at this beautiful coastal reserve.
What will the day involve?
This summer we will enriching our knowledge of Spey Bay’s wildlife by doing a Bioblitz, an event which aims to find and identify as many species as possible in a set location in a short amount of time. We will also be removing Himalayan Balsam, an Invasive Non-Native Species, from the woodlands.
When?
Volunteer days are typically held once a month on a Tuesday from 10.00am-3.00pm. You are welcome to join in for all or part-of the day.
What should I bring?
• Suitable warm outdoor clothing including
waterproofs.
• Sturdy boots or wellies - steel-toe cap preferred but not essential.
• Gloves - gloves are provided but you may prefer to bring your own.
• Lunch, plenty of snacks and a drink -a warm flask is recommended in cooler months
