Exciting opportunity for experience of working with children in a community setting!

We are currently seeking volunteers to help us deliver our summer programme of events for the children in the local area. We are offering a range of activities from arts and crafts to teddy bear picnics in the woods. We also plan to have a couple of day trips and a mini Commonwealth Games.

Organisation aims and objectives

To enhance the economic, social, and environmental sustainability of Rosewell through the creation of opportunities for the local community. This includes to provide or assist in providing recreational facilities and/or organising recreational activities which will be available to members of the community and public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life for the community.

Restrictions

Experience required: Enthusiastic. Experience of working with children Interest in arts & crafts, lego and sport
Travel details: On the 49 bus route
Minimum age: 14

Support

Training details: All volunteers are inducted and issued a role description. We go through the volunteer agreement paperwork and then tour the building. Volunteers will be assisting the full time members of staff and will not be expected to undertake any duties on their own.
