Forfar Open Gardens are looking for Volunteer Gardeners to provide general help within the garden whether that be pottering in the outdoor or indoor planting areas, clearing and pruning in the large woodland space or any of the many jobs in between. The garden is an open space for people young and old to come along and enjoy so you have a keen interest in gardening or would like to learn then they would love to hear from you. The aim of this project is to bring people together of all ages to grow and share the harvest from our community garden. Crops harvested from the garden will be used to create simple healthy meals or snacks. Tasks involved are basic gardening tasks (no prior knowledge needed), planting seeds, potting up, weeding, watering and harvesting of the crops. For the more experienced gardeners propagation and pruning techniques will be taught.

Volunteer gardener required. The person taking up this role will lead on our horticulture project and teach participants about growing food as well as facilitate gardening in a way that promotes the integration of migrant families.
