Community volunteers - to help raise funds for the crew and general running of the boat and station. The RNLI is a charity that saves lives at sea. We do this through lifeboat search and rescue, lifeguards, water safety education and flood rescue. The Barra Lifeboat Station is the heart of the community and is always there when someone needs help, whatever the weather and whenever, you can rely on them 24/7. In order for the lifeboat station to continue to save all lives at sea they need you to volunteer as a community fundraiser. You will be there to help raise money by doing bucket collections, coffee mornings, whatever you think would work in the community to help fund the crew training, their kit, fuel the boat etc. By becoming a fundraising volunteer you will be part of the RNLI family in Barra and will support the crew to continue to save all lives at sea.
The RNLI is the lifeboat organisation that provides a 24 hour lifesaving service around the UK and the Rep of Ireland
