Description

Working as a team, “Experiences of Trauma” collective advocacy project have developed a workshop around experiences of trauma and are looking for participants who are willing to share their experiences to promote understanding/awareness and campaign for improvements in services and attitudes towards people who may have experienced psychological trauma.

Organisation aims and objectives

CAPS is an independent advocacy organisation for people who use or have used mental health services. We are completely independent from the people who fund us and those who provide other services to the people we work with. We provide individual and collective advocacy in East Lothian and Midlothian. We also host several experience-led projects across Lothian.

Restrictions

Experience required: You will need lived experience of trauma that has affected your mental health and be willing to draw on experiences to work as part of a Collective Advocacy group. Meetings take place every two to four weeks to suit participants availability.
Travel details: Meetings take place in person or online.
Minimum age: 18
