Description

Are you enthusiastic about making or repairing skills? Would you like a chance to pass on your skills to the community in this exciting new project? Do you have skills you would like to learn or develop? The Repair Shed at Lock 16 will be developing training and groups in making and fixing all sorts of things. What would you like to fix?

We are looking for volunteers who would like to help others learn new skills, it might be that you are just starting yourself with something and would like to learn more or there might be something you've been doing for years and would like to show others. This is a brand new project so there is room for you to contribute towards new ideas and forming new groups.

Some activities we hope to do:

  • Bike repair and maintenance
  • Wood working and making things with recycled wood
  • DIY and using tools safely
  • Small items repair
  • Rope work and knots (for boaters and others)
  • Boat maintenance
  • Clothing repair and using a sewing machine

There is room for more!

Training will be provided.
