Saturday Store Volunteer

Description

Moray Fresh Start SCIO is a small local charity which provides Starter Packs for people who have been homeless and are moving into their new tenancies. It is important that the tenancy gets off to a good start and so Moray Fresh Start provides essential smaller household items quickly. Members of the public offer donations of goods which they believe we can use in the starter packs; these have to be sorted into types -- acceptable or not. This volunteer opportunity is for someone who can accept these donations of goods for two hours on Saturday mornings from 10 am-12pm. You will be volunteering on your own, but full training and induction and support is offered on an ongoing basis.

Organisation aims and objectives

Moray Fresh Start provides packs of small household items to individuals and families who have been homeless and who are about to be re-homed in permanent accommodation. We take referrals from agencies and the council departments supporting these people.
