Description

ACD is looking to recruitment up to 3 new board members to join a diverse board. As we enter an exciting phase of growth, we are looking for new trustees to help us deliver our ambitious plans. ACD’s key services are expanding into new sectors and we are seeking candidates who are looking for a new opportuntity.

In doing so, trustees will play a key role in making strategic decisions, develop an ambitious charity and make a difference to the lives of people across Tayside.

We are currently recruiting for candidates who have the following experience:

Experience in Public Sector Employability

Experience in Commercial Property

Experience in Fundraising/Corporate Sponsorship

Commitment

We are seeking members who want to play an active role in the organisation and feel confident sharing their opinions and giving support when required.

The board currently meets every 2nd month, with ad hoc meetings with the operational team when the business requires.

Alexander’s Community Development (ACD) is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. ACD was established with the goal to be a sustainable legacy within the city of Dundee. It aims to work in and with the community to upskill, retain talent and create jobs in Dundee for the people of Dundee. The charitable objectives of Alexander’s Community Development are: (1) To contribute to the advancement of community development and education by creating an affordable space that the community and other organisations can use and by creating training opportunities within the construction industry; (2) The prevention or relief of poverty and the relief of those in need through the provision of food distribution in the community, with the intention of improving quality of life.
