Over The Wall is a charity that helps children, young people and their families, living in the UK, reach beyond the boundaries of their health challenges to discover a world of mischief, magic and new possibilities. We do this by providing free of charge, transformative activity camps throughout the UK.

Our health Challenge & Sibling Camps are magical places where campers take part in fun activities including Sports and Games, Arts and Crafts and Discovery. Campers will be divided into teams based on their age. You will be part of a team of other incredible volunteers and will need a sense of fun with an energetic, enthusiastic and positive approach. if you are looking for an amazing and rewarding experience where you can make a real difference in young people's lives, whilst developing your skills then apply to be a Team Mate now!

Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, Over The Wall Camps provide a fun and safe environment for children and young people, building their confidence and self-esteem whilst exceptional medical care ensures our unique ability to cater for more than 130 different conditions. We aim to empower children with health challenges to become the hero of their own story.

Camp is four days long (11th-15th July) and you will be required to arrive one day early for training. We will give you all the necessary training and support, and provide your accommodation and food for the duration of the camp.

Restrictions

Experience required: Don't need experience working with children to be able to support the camp - as long as you're willing, generous and enthusiastic, we want to hear from you!
Travel details: Accessible by foot, bus, car and train. Volunteers are asked to make their own way to and from Camp, pick-ups/drop-offs from the local train station are provided if needed.
Minimum age: 18

Support

Expenses details: All food, drink and accommodation is provided whilst at camp.
Training details: A full day of training prior to camp including Behaviour Support, Safeguarding and Basic Medical Training.
