To help organise and facilitate Link Living's social cafes and provide support to service users, who are aged 65 and over, live in Fife and are Socially isolated,
Main tasks :-
Attend as agreed with Project Workers
Keep workers informed of availability and any issues that may arise
Assist in setting up, running and clearing up of cafe
welcome members to cafe
serve hot dirnks and biscuits
chat with the members and make them comfortable
facilitate and lead activities where appropriate
maintain confidentiality
The project aims to reduce social isolation in older people by recruiting and supporting individuals to become volunteers who can then be matched with an older person, to go shopping go for a coffee, support the person to attend a social group or help the older person with some simple practical tasks.

Experience required: You will be friendly and approachable, dependable and trustworthy. An ability to maintain confidentiality is essential while understanding the need to share information/concerns with paid (Assistant) Project Workers as required

Training details: A volunteer handbook and training in various topics relevant to the role e.g. first aid, confidentiality, food hygiene, safeguarding are provided
