Description

The art and craft groups operating under the constituted group PCCC, aim to provide local, accessible and affordable creative opportunities for adults aged 16yrs+. The groups provide creative outlets for those who have an interest in the arts, as well as theraputic influences for those wishing to maintain or improve their overall health and wellbeing. Research has proven that local community opportunities that provide a purpose, a social network and safe, supportive environments are key for all who wish to have positive quality of life. The importance of such approaches has been highlighted within the Scottish Government with the recent consultation around a ‘Connected Scotland’ looking to identify and combat loneliness and isolation at the local level.
The Chairperson is responsible for making sure that each meeting is planned effectively, conducted according to the constitution and that matters are dealt with in an orderly, efficient manner. The Chairperson helps to build and lead the team. The Chairperson will Chair committee meetings which are held approx. 3 monthly. The Chairperson will be an authorised signatory for the release of funds and support the Treasurer with funding applications.
