Description

We currently have around 40 shops/ community hubs across Scotland. Our shops and hubs help us raise funds so we can provide our services to the people who need us. Every one of our stores relies on a team of volunteers to help run it and support our staff. Quite simply, we cannot provide our services or raise funds without the amazing support of our volunteers. The time, support and the work they do is vital to us and the people we help. By helping out in CHSS Perth, you can make a difference to people and their families in Scotland who are isolated, scared or anxious about their condition.

This is an opportunity to undertake a satisfying and rewarding role. As part of our team of volunteers, you will provide customer support, whilst working in a friendly atmosphere, providing an extremely useful and appreciated service to the Charity. The role includes: welcoming and assisting customers, customer service and sales service, stock control, sorting donations, hanging and ticketing stock and helping to keep the shop clean and tidy.

Organisation aims and objectives

Ensuring that people affected by stroke, chest and heart conditions, the people we employ, those that volunteer with us and those who support us are at the focus of our work. Your views, needs, hopes and aspirations drive the decisions that are made, the support we offer and the action we take. Volunteers are vital to the success of the No Life Half Lived strategy, to help us reach everybody who needs us and help us to raise funds. Our Volunteer Strategy Group will make sure that every volunteer is supported so they have the best experience and become ambassadors for CHSS in their local communities. We have been re-accredited 4 times with the UK Quality Standard Investing in Volunteers.
