Do you have a few hours to spare every 6-8 weeks (minimum commitment)?

We are seeking new members to support Changes strategic development.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who have accessed support for their mental health (with Changes or elsewhere).

Organisation aims and objectives

CHANGES is a Community Health Project which promotes the positive wellbeing of people living in East Lothian. CHANGES works with local people and professionals to develop initiatives and services to help people manage their stress.










Minimum of 3 hours every 6 weeks. Opportunities for further involvement, through sub-committees and more in-depth involvement.


Experience required: We are very keen to hear from people from professional backgrounds including those with skills in law, health care (primary care in particular) and digital technology. No previous board experience is required, though an awareness and understanding of the function of a Board would be advantageous. Training on this will be provided. Changes values are welcoming, compassion and community, it is important that anyone working with or volunteering with Changes is aligned with these values.
Travel details: Board meetings usually take place in Musselburgh on a Tuesday evening, they are currently taking place via Zoom.

Taster details: We invite prospective Board Members for an initial meeting with Changes Manager and Chair, we would then invite you to observe a Board Meeting (currently online).
Training details: A Board induction is provided, opportunities to access Mental Health First Aid and Suicide Prevention Training are also available.
