Description

The Glenrothes Community Sports and Health Hub aim to create a family friendly sport, social and wellbeing hub that benefits the whole community. They work with local sport clubs (e.g. football, cricket and tennis) and other groups and organisations to develop a welcoming, safe, inclusive and fun environment.
Their Facebook page describes the range of activities offered including yoga, seated exercise, Andy’s Man Club, Storytelling, women’s wellbeing, community larder, employability and more. They also have lots of plans to involve more children, young people, older adults, socially excluded and vulnerable people.
Volunteers are needed to help support the Community Larder on Wednesdays & Friday 4.30-6.30pm. The larder is open to the community from 5-6pm (6-7pm in the summer) with donated food delivered.
Volunteers need to help sort/lay the food out, support people using the larder and then clear away at the end. You will be part of a small group who manage this and you can volunteer for either day.
