The Glenrothes Community Sports and Health Hub aim to create a family friendly sport, social and wellbeing hub that benefits the whole community. They work with local sport clubs (e.g. football, cricket and tennis) and other groups and organisations to develop a welcoming, safe, inclusive and fun environment.
Their Facebook page describes the range of activities offered including yoga, seated exercise, Andy’s Man Club, Storytelling, women’s wellbeing, community larder, employability and more. They also have lots of plans to involve more children, young people, older adults and vulnerable people.
Volunteers are needed to promote the Hub's benefits and activities.
You will get familiar with what's going on, then share your knowledge & enthusiasm with local schools, shops, community groups, parents and other individuals and groups as identified with Hub staff. Sometimes this will be with staff, other volunteer(s) or on your own, depending on your interests and abilities. Lots of support and encouragement is available to help you volunteer and they are always interested in your ideas!
