Oxfam Shop Bishopbriggs are looking for new volunteers to join our friendly and diverse shop team! As an Oxfam Volunteer, you will be a crucial part of our mission to fight worldwide poverty. Volunteering with us if perfect if you are looking to boost your skills and experience, get involved in the local community, meet and work with new people and of course to have fun! Whether you’re sorting bric-a-brac, selling items at the till, keeping the shop tidy, selling on our online shop or welcoming our customers and donors, any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated! Organisation aims and objectives

Oxfam's purpose is to work with others to overcome poverty and suffering. Volunteer for Oxfam and make a difference to the lives of poor people throughout the world. Your gift of time, skills and experience will be converted into lifesaving work around the world. You'll be provided with all the information and guidance required for you to carry out your volunteering. You'll be encouraged to develop in your volunteering role.


No restrictions
Experience required: We don’t require any specific experience, however we do ask that our volunteers are reliable, honest and trustworthy with a positive attitude towards volunteering. Potential volunteers will need to provide a referee as part of their application.
Travel details: This opportunity happens at Oxfam Bishopbriggs, Unit 4, The Triangle Shopping Centre, Bishopbriggs, Glasgow G64 2TR. The shop is located in Bishopbriggs Cross, a 2-minute walk from Bishopbriggs Railway Station and close to local bus stops.

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Travel expenses to and from home. Volunteers must produce a ticket for public transport and for car mileage, a VAT receipt for fuel. Expenses are paid out by the Shop Manager at the till
