Description

Did you know that the Moray Art Centre is run nearly entirely by volunteers? From folk who help out in the garden, to people who welcome visitors at reception, as well as the entire Board. If you fancy spending time here at the MAC whether invigilating exhibitions, helping out at workshops, advising in an artistic capacity or manning the desk at the weekends, just get in touch at admin@morayartcentre.org and they will send further details!

Organisation aims and objectives

Moray Art Centre is an eco designed, purpose built Arts Centre, based on the Findhorn coast, North East Scotland and aims to provide a stimulating environment for visual arts education and appreciation. Moray Art Centre is a non-profit centre for the arts running an annual local and international programme of exhibitions, events, classes and art residencies. The carbon-neutral environmentally built and designed Centre is situated in the unique landscape of Findhorn Bay, Moray. Internally the new Centre has been planned to be a vibrant and motivating environment which allows people to meet, discuss and generate a community of creativity. The Centre has three flexible, rentable classrooms, four individual artist studios, a Community Gallery (Gallery 2), with meeting and study areas, and a main hi-spec gallery (Gallery 1). Since opening in 2008, 14,000 people have used the centre. It also has an active volunteer programme in place.
