Description

Interested in Kayaking - like to run -what about cycling? Our veteran is physically fit and would love to find a guide to help him get involved in these outdoor activities.

As a 'Sport Volunteer' you will be on hand to make sure our veteran can fully participate in all activities in a safe way. You will guide and provide descriptions of what is around, to enable the blind veteran to orientate themselves.

We are looking for a reliable and confident person who enjoys Kayaking, running and riding a tandem, spending time outdoors. Has some time to share each week. Organisation aims and objectives

Blind Veterans UK helps ex-Service men and women of every generation rebuild their lives after sight loss. Since 1915 we’ve provided rehabilitation, training, practical advice and emotional support to tens of thousands of blind veterans.

Restrictions

Experience required: A person who has had a good deal of experience in the outdoors, particularly in areas of Kayaking - running - Cycling. Someone who has an understanding of safe practice in these activities.
Minimum age: 18
