Cleaning rota co-ordinator and volunteers

  • VO88592

If you or your child have ever been involved with Guiding, this is your perfect chance to give something back without too much commitment.

We are a friendly, inclusive group who like to work together to ensure that the hall is safe for users.

In order for the Kirkwall Guide Hall to stay clean, we are required to have a cleaning rota. This includes parents of the children involved with Girlguides, Brownies and Rainbows.

Due to the increase of cleaning that is required (due to Covid) we are looking for more volunteers to join the team. A cleaning Rota co-ordinator is also required to ensure volunteers area available every week.

All cleaning materials are provided.

Organisation aims and objectives

We are a group of Rainbow/Brownie/Guide parents who meet 4 times per year to oversee the running and maintenance of the Guide Hall. New faces are welcome - please get in touch through Facebook.

Knowledge of Girl Guiding is not needed. Having a reasonable understanding of being involved on a committee would be beneficial.
Experience required: Interested in cleaning to a good standard is required. You should have the ability to volunteer within a small team, be motivated and use initiative. You should also be willing to help out when required.

Training details: Committee members will work together to inform and support. A folder explaining tasks/risk assessments is available.

Please note, organisations are currently experiencing a large volume of enquiries from people looking to help out. They may not always be able to meet this demand so please be patient, you may not receive a quick response or be assigned to a role.
