Role Title: Trustee/Treasurer Role description of volunteering opportunity: The Club runs its own powerchair football training sessions on Tuesdays between 7pm and 10pm at the Citadel in Ayr. Sessions specifically designed for wheelchair users across the Ayrshire region. Ayrshire Tigers PFC is a community-based Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) based in Ayr which works in partnership with the Scottish Powerchair Football Association (SPFA) to provide equal opportunities for powerchair users in Ayrshire to engage in team sport. The Club is an independent organisation run by its own board of trustees which is elected by its members. The club is focused on providing opportunities to play, coach and support powerchair football and is open to everyone. The team is currently playing in the Scottish Powerchair Football Championship. The Club was formed to benefit wheelchair users living in Ayrshire to engage in team sport and prevent isolation by offering a place for people to come and feel welcome, have fun and be part of a team. We are a small local charity run by volunteers for the people of Grampian who have been affected by an acquired brain injury. We are looking for someone to take the role of treasurer within our organisation. Your role will include the day to day payment of expenses, applying for funding and some general book keeping. This role is not onerous as we have no staff and our overheads are minimal. You will have had previous experience of working or volunteering in book keeping / finance and will have a knowledge of legal requirements. NODA Ayrshire works to support members of the community to help each other at the end of life. We offer support across the three Ayrshire Local Authority areas. We are a registered charity made up of compassionate volunteer companions who kindly volunteer their time to sit with people who are dying in their final hours. Our volunteers provide companionship and a listening ear to anyone who needs support to ensure no-one is left feeling alone or isolated. NODA are currently seeking a Treasurer to help manage their accounts, especially to produce committee reports and finance reports for the end of the financial year. The successful applicant will have experience in this area and be able to upload reports to the online system.
