The Royal Voluntary Service is recruiting for volunteer drivers in Moray. Our volunteer drivers provide an essential service transporting people to a medical appointment (e.g. hospital, GP, dental, opticians, vaccination) or social appointment (e.g. supermarket, lunch group; visit family/friends; hairdressers). This can be a local journey or longer (e.g. taking a client to an appointment at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary). Volunteers will use their own vehicle – expenses reimbursed for mileage 45p per mile. Organisation aims and objectives

Every day Royal Voluntary Service helps thousands of older people to live the life they want. We provide practical services in homes, in hospitals and in communities all across the country so people can be independent and active. Royal Voluntary Service is one of the largest voluntary organisations and much of our work is supporting older people. We provide practical solutions to the everyday problems of loneliness and isolation.










Flexible times available during Monday to Friday morning or afternoon.


Experience required: Communication skills: good verbal skills when speaking to clients; listening skills when engaging with clients; reliable; genuine interest in older people; confident nature; empathy; patience; health and safety awareness; full driving licence; own vehicle.
Travel details: We cover the Moray area. You will pick up at client from their home driving them to their destination and drive them back home.

Expenses details: Relevant out of pocket volunteer expenses are re-imbursed as per RVS expenses policy e.g.: bus fares, car mileage.
Training details: Good support and relevant training is provided. Includes induction training provided by Royal Voluntary Service.
