Description

Good with raising money? Enjoy applying for funds that make a massive difference to the lives of our youth members and enabling change across the region by removing financial restrictions? Maybe you have a background in finance or even just really good at writing a convincing argument?
We are looking for an individual to lead the fundraising strategy of the region and enable change throughout the region by utilising and successfully delivering new funds to new exciting and dynamic projects. No role or even Scout experience? No problem we will provide a full induction and training and it looks amazing on your CV!

Overall Main Responsibilities
• Work with the Regional Commissioner and Regional team to identify which projects will require external funding
• Conduct funding searches with AVA and ask for assistance as and when required from SHQ staff.
• Use and ask for information as required from various stakeholders and apply for as many as sources as required.
• Become a charity trustee with the Regional Executive and attend no more than four meetings per year.

Regional Roles have no set commitment or timings, they are home based with occasional optional travel throughout the Region.

Restrictions

All Genders welcome, we are an inclusive organisation.
Experience required: Any previous skills are advantageous but really not essential, we will best place you for your chosen role, but we will provide a PVG and full training through our adult training programme and ongoing training.
Travel details: Regional Roles are home based with occasion travel throughout Aberdeenshire if needed for face to face meetings. Access to a car would be advantageous but not essential.

Training details: Our online training equips volunteers with everything they need to succeed in their role, with occasion weekend training. We will allocate a training advisor who will initially meet with you to advise and answer any questions for your training programme, we also have a training grant scheme for adult volunteers.
