#YSHive is looking for around 20 young people to volunteer on the Young Person’s Guarantee Youth Leadership Panel. This Panel will be a diverse group from across Scotland age 16-24, who will be involved conversations, exploration and co-design of the Young Person’s Guarantee.

The Panel will collaborate with Scottish Government, Developing the Young Workforce, Skills Development Scotland, and other organisations to explore the governance (decision-making and deciding how things are delivered) for the Young Person’s Guarantee, ensuring that young people continue to be involved, meeting the needs of Scotland’s young people. The opportunity closes on Sunday 29th August.

Frequency and commitment details

September 2021 – May 2022


Experience required: A dedicated Young Scot staff member will support you throughout your volunteering experience.  No special knowledge, experience or skills are necessary to take part. We are happy to make reasonable adjustments to enable all young people to take part, and there will be an opportunity when you apply to tell us about any support or adjustments you need to contribute fully.  We are happy to make reasonable adjustments based on your needs to enable you to attend. 
Travel details: 🕰️Anywhere in Scotland, based on ️Zoom (online) for now 🗺️ Travel, food and accommodation paid for when we return to the Young Scot office. Digital support available. *Due to Covid-19 restrictions, this project will take place online for the foreseeable future. However, we understand getting online can be difficult, so please still apply if you have limited access as we can support you with alternative arrangements. *

Taster details: After you’ve applied, we will invite you along to a  Taster & Selection Workshop on Zoom on: Thursday 2nd September at 5pm to 7.30pm, or Friday 3rd September 2021 at 5pm to 7:30pm This is to give you a taste of what volunteering with YSHive might be like, and for us to meet you.  If you can’t attend for any reason, we will arrange a phone or video call with you.   If we have more applicants than there are spots on the Panel, we will also reflect on how things went at the Taster & Selection Session to make a decision about who to invite to join Young Person’s Guarantee Youth Leadership Panel.
