Description

Develop your skills and lead a team of up to 5 volunteers at a time in the daily running of an established charity shop in Hawick. Supervisory experience is a boost on any CV.

We've developed a comprehensive training programme to give you all the skills and support you need to lead a team of up to 5 volunteers at a time. No experience is necessary, our only requirement is you are over 18 due to the nature of this opportunity. Restrictions

Oxfam do not accept applications from anyone on the Sex Offenders list. We may inquire about unspent convictions relevant to the role and you may be required to submit to PVG/DBS check (at no expense to you).

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Some travel and lunch expenses can be covered so you won’t be out of pocket whist volunteering with us. To claim travel expense please keep your bus or train tickets and your expenses will be refunded to you. If you volunteer for a full day lunch expenses will be refunded if a receipt is provided, the exact rate will be discussed with the shop manager at your informal chat.

Training details: At Oxfam as well as our essential training including health and safety, we offer optional training depending on the area of volunteering. This can include till training, stockroom training, and our online learning program includes gender justice, safeguarding and leadership courses.
