Kirkmichael Shop and Café is a small, friendly organisation run by a combination of paid and volunteer staff. There are always at least two people on at one time and the volunteer shifts tend to be three hours long. The main activities are serving in the Shop and Café, greeting and helping customers, stocking the shelves, light cleaning and food and drinks preparation [optional] .
Kirkmichael Community Shop and Café is a well-stocked, not-for-profit, community run convenience store and café.

Experience required: Training is given but experience of working in a shop, café or catering would be an advantage
Travel details: A car would be an advantage but Kirkmichael is on a regular bus route from Ayr.
Training details: Induction training is given in how the Shop and Café are run, the Health and Safety practices relating to Covid restrictions, how to work the coffee machine and the till and legislation related to the sale of Alcohol. Ongoing support is given by the paid staff and fellow volunteers.
