Description

In your role you will support different teams across CHSS to recruit new volunteers in your local community either face to face, engaging with local community partners and utilizing online social media platforms. Volunteers are vital to the running of our services, shops and our fundraising events. With your help we can reach more people across Scotland to raise awareness of CHSS.
Your main tasks include:
Identify suitable local organisations and networks to promote our various volunteer roles to.
Use social media to advertise volunteer opportunities.
Use offline methods such as presentations and posters to recruit volunteers in the community.
Raise awareness and the profile of CHSS

We are Scotland’s health charity supporting people and their families across Scotland with chest, heart and stroke conditions. We want to make sure life living with a chest or heart condition or after a stroke is a life lived to the full. We will fight for better health for everyone and work to make sure there is help and support in every community.

The role can be done in your own time. Volunteer Team will send over tasks to be completed and any networking events you can attend

Restrictions

Experience required: * Enthusiasm for volunteering. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Knowledge of social networking and the online environment * Understanding of your local community and where we can reach volunteers * Great planning skills. * Confident to speak to a wide variety of people online and offline.
Travel details: Most of the role is at home but option to travel to a face to face networking event.
Minimum age: 18

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Expenses are paid for any travel to networking events. Expenses are paid into bank account on a monthly basis.
Training details: You will be fully supported to undertake your role safely and effectively. You will be supported by a CHSS member of staff, and they will be your main point of contact. You will also be given a full induction and be expected to undertake core learning, which includes: *Confidentiality & Safeguarding *GDPR *Cyber Security and ICT Induction *Lone working *Awareness of Chest Heart and Stroke Conditions *All volunteers are required to undergo a basic disclosure check.
