Inchgarth Community Centre provide a fantastic programme of activities for the community with the tremendous help of volunteers. Inchgarth has over 170 sessions of activity per week-serving every age group and section of the community. As a big and vibrant community centre, we offer a large range of activities for all ages and welcome a range of charities at the community centre.

We have a great opportunity for people to help as Thursday Phoenix Club Befrienders (1-3pm). The Phoenix Club is a wonderful social club for adults with learning or physical disabilities, where people have fun and socialise together. Every Thursday from 1pm-3pm, the club meets at Inchgarth Community Centre to play pool, video games or board games, to sing karaoke or paint.

We are seeking new volunteers for the club and for befrienders. Your role would be to take part in activities, play pool and board games with our members, take people to the cafe and have a hot drink. No experience necessary we just need you to be friendly and enthusiastic. We want our Phoenix Club members to feel special during this fantastic club and you could be that difference in people’s lives.

It is also a good opportunity to improve your communication skills, to gain experience working with people with learning and physical disabilities and to help the community grow. You will also be joining team Inchgarth that was awarded the highest award in the country by Her Majesty the Queen via the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, a collective MBE for all team members who volunteer. Inchgarth is the biggest community centre in Aberdeen providing a great programme of activities for the community with the fantastic help of volunteers. Inchgarth has over 170 sessions of activity per week serving every age group and section of the community. Inchgarth is a centre of excellence which prides itself not only on the huge diverse programme and range of services but on the fact that our centre helps those in our community and city who truly need our help, facilities and opportunities. Inchgarth community centre exists to provide social, recreational, leisure, educational and community facilities/ opportunities for all age groups. We are managed by a voluntary committee and at the core of our service is to develop volunteering opportunities that enrich the lives of the volunteer and those attending the activities. Inchgarth Community Centre is also honoured to be a recipient of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of Inchgarths dedication to the community and volunteering. Event Team

The opportunity is for vibrant people who enjoy all that entails working with young people of various backgrounds and for those who are looking for experience within events. Volunteers will assist with the running of events and activities, helping with the set-up, social media and marketing of the events, as well as running activities all day. Volunteer Mentor

Are you 18+ living in Glasgow/North Lanarkshire and looking to make a difference to a young person in their community? Do you have 1-2 hours spare per week? Are you care experienced yourself or working towards a career in social care? Do you want to gain valuable experience, make a positive change, be part of a likeminded community all whilst having fun? We would love to hear from you! No experience necessary - just an open mind, kindness and compassion! Our service matches volunteer mentors to young people aged between 8-14years who are on the edge of care, in a kinship arrangement or on a CSO. Our mentees are looking for a person to build and grow a positive relationship, try new activities, tackle isolation, build confidence and have fun in the community! We provide in person training, ongoing support and a community of mentors who are there to share experiences. We are there to support you every step of the way! Our service covers all of Glasgow and North Lanarkshire, having a car is desirable but not essential. *This role requires 2 days of training in house and subject to PVG check*

Outdoor Education Assistant

An exciting opportunity to join the Under the Trees team, working in the great and beautiful outdoors whilst gaining valuable experience working with young children and young adults. You will potentially be working in all weathers and in all seasons - we can provide waterproofs! Under the Trees runs fun and educational sessions for school children in the Falkirk and Stirling areas, as well as a programme of public events for all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Events run all year round.
