Inchgarth Community Centre provide a fantastic programme of activities for the community with the tremendous help of volunteers. Inchgarth has over 170 sessions of activity per week-serving every age group and section of the community.

We have a great opportunity for people to help as Dishwasher Volunteers at the community centre. As a big and vibrant community centre, we offer a large range of activities for all ages and welcome a range of charities at the community centre. We rely on volunteers to help us in keeping the place nice, tidy and welcoming for the community. As a Dishwasher Volunteer you would help us greatly with the dishes during lunch times at the Community Centre Cafe (open 12-3pm) and in keeping the café area tidy.

Organisation aims and objectives

Inchgarth is the biggest community centre in Aberdeen providing a great programme of activities for the community with the fantastic help of volunteers. Inchgarth has over 170 sessions of activity per week serving every age group and section of the community. Inchgarth is a centre of excellence which prides itself not only on the huge diverse programme and range of services but on the fact that our centre helps those in our community and city who truly need our help, facilities and opportunities. Inchgarth community centre exists to provide social, recreational, leisure, educational and community facilities/ opportunities for all age groups. We are managed by a voluntary committee and at the core of our service is to develop volunteering opportunities that enrich the lives of the volunteer and those attending the activities. Inchgarth Community Centre is also honoured to be a recipient of the Queens Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of Inchgarths dedication to the community and volunteering. RUN BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE.

The Kincorth Community Centre Hub has great volunteer opportunities to assist with a range of activities at the Hub. Volunteer roles include supporting our busy community cafe, which has rapidly taken off, we currently open 9.30 -2.30, but our aim is to run a breakfast and supper club, as well as have the cafe open for activities in the evening. We have a diverse community that has a lot to offer e.g.: art classes/exercise group/dance class/music lessons and we are always open to new ideas-we are more or less a blank canvass. Excellent support and relevant guidance is provided to all volunteers. Level 2 Hygiene Certificate will be offered to those who want to volunteer/cook in the café. Any other training would be reviewed and provided if proved relevant. A fantastic, enjoyable opportunity to volunteer and help make a real difference for people and the community. Kids Activities Volunteer

As Part Of The Angus Council Holiday Programme , We Are Looking For Additional Volunteers During The Angus School Holidays in 2024 Saturday 6th April & Sunday 7th April Friday 28 June to Monday 12 August 2024 Monday 7 October to Friday 18 October Friockheim Park Community Volunteers Are Offering Stay & Play Sessions At All These Sessions We Will Be Providing Hot/Cold Drinks, Refreshments & Fresh Fruit To Both Children & Adults. You Will Be Part Of A Team Of Volunteers Running Each Session Which Will Be Held On A Variety Of Days Throughout The Holidays, An Enhanced PVG Will Be Required For This Role. FRESH Volunteers

Fresh Community Wellness is a growing grassroots charity, registered Scottish Charity Number, SC051346. We operate out of Aberdeen city, working within a (S.I.M.D) high neighbourhood to create lasting change and build a legacy for the future. Predominantly in Seaton neighbourhoods and outdoors, we work with volunteers/residents, with a salutogenic approach to community wellness. To help with this we have great opportunities and need people to help out as volunteers for a range of roles including: *Food growing, gardeners, greenspace management, tidy ups volunteers. *Mentors, community engagement, events, entertainers (kids, adults, 55+). *Outdoors games & sports volunteers, building outdoor areas for residents (sheltered housing seating), health. *Artists/ Sculptors to begin on our Street Art & Design projects, and sculptures. *Admin, coordinators, team lead volunteers, advisors & support volunteers. *Drop-in café helpers, advisors, cooking assistants.
