The Front of House team's role is to welcome patrons to the theatre and ensure everything runs smoothly in the auditorium and public areas. Duties include checking tickets, directing patrons to seats, selling ice cream at the interval, assisting with fire safety procedures and generally providing a good visitor experience for audience members.
The Guild have been performing in the Theatre Royal ever since, putting on a regular season of five shows and a Christmas Pantomime, as well as starting the Junior Guild to encourage younger members of the community to participate. The Guild’s most recent activities have seen a further refurbishment and expansion of the theatre, restoring and expanding the building to provide a much improved facility.
Experience required: Ability to greet people and make them feel welcome.
Minimum age: 18
Training details: We have an induction programme for volunteers, including orientation, fire safety and customer service. We also provide a "buddy" volunteer who would always be on duty with you for the first few months.
