Enigma Gymnastics Club is a community-based club run solely by volunteers. They are proud of the activities and opportunities they provide for members of the local community, thier gymnasts and their members.

Volunteers are an essential element of the Club and as part of their involvement in the Young Person Community Leadership Programme, they are currently looking for a keen and enthusiastic young person (16-25) to join the team to assist with the assembly and dismantle of equipment, before and after sessions..

This is a physical role involving manual handling of gymnastics equipment.

Organisation aims and objectives

The club's vision is to help build a proud local community where people can thrive in sport and in life. As a local charity we provide opportunities for participation and learning in gymnastics and other community-based activities in the Levenmouth area. We encourage family engagement, a positive attitude, and promote life-long involvement in sport to improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our community. Since returning after the enforced break due to the pandemic, we now provide 4 gymnastics classes per week. We aim to develop gymnastic skills within our provided sessions at an affordable rate offering opportunity to participate in the sport of gymnastics within an area of regeneration. General, Disability, Women's Artistic, Acrobatic and Trampoline gymnastics are offered. Enigma GC provides opportunities for approximately 110 gymnasts and 23 volunteers. Open to girls and boys. Opportunities are given for young people from 4 to 18 years to develop programmes for children with disabilities through a referral-based programme from Disability Sport Fife.










They are looking for volunteers on a; Friday 5:30pm – 6:30pm and/or Sunday 11:30am – 1:30pm


Part of Young Person Community Leadership Programme,
Experience required: Whilst they will focus on personal attributes, they are looking for an organised young person who has the initiative to work on their own as well as part of a team. As to ensure are classes run, it is vital that the individual has great time management, is responsible and trustworthy and willing to take instruction for the lead volunteer.
Travel details: Levenmouth Academy PE Annex, Methilhaven Road, Buckhaven. KY8 1EA. School Term Times only: The PE annex is a separate building of the main campus at Levenmouth Academy. The PE annex is situated to the rear of the main campus, just in front of residential housing at Ivy Grove. Levenmouth Academy is accessible by road on a bus route with a bus stop on Methilhaven Road, alongside the school. The PE annex is accessible on foot by a public foot path from Ivy Grove.

Expenses details: Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Training details: Induction will be provided to ensure the volunteer understands the way in which the club works, the place of their role within this, and that they have a full understanding of their role and responsibilities. Training will cover: -Task/equipment related set up and disassembly -Health and safety -British Gymnastics manual handling e-module training -Accident, incidents and near-miss reporting procedure
