Description

OYCI is a youth action charity dedicated to ensuring all young people have the opportunity to have fun! OYCI's projects bring young people together in their community and provide opportunities for personal growth and support their wellbeing. OYCI is a vibrant and growing charity that is only a few years old, but one which has already made its mark in Clackmannanshire among many young people.

OYCI is seeking two motivated and enthusiastic trustees who are passionate about young people’s participation and supporting the exciting work of their small and growing charity. They are seeking interest and applications from people who share their passion for supporting young people and are motivated to provide strategic guidance to an organisation whose ambition and objective is to enable young people in Clackmannanshire to thrive, develop and reach their potential; enabling them to contribute positively to their communities.

OYCI have a committed Board and want to build on its strong foundations by attracting people with a range of skills including, but not limited to finance, fundraising, marketing, youth work, project development, digital, local government landscape and/or HR. As they are looking to grow the board alongside their organisation, they have more than one vacancy and are looking for individuals who are innovative, positive and creative. OYCI can offer training and development opportunities for first-time trustees.

Previous board/trustee experience is not necessary, and all applications are welcomed from all ages and backgrounds. They aim to reflect the communities they work in, so particularly encourage applications from local people, disabled, LGBT+ and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates.

This is a voluntary, unpaid role, although reasonable expenses incurred will be reimbursed (e.g. travel).
