Could you provide emotional or practical support to people affected by the Ukraine crisis?
We are looking for volunteers who can provide help through our telephone support line for one shift a week, Monday to Friday.
Fluency in Ukrainian or Russian is highly desirable.
Hours:
The National Support Line currently operates between 10am and 6pm every day of the week, including weekends. However, the Ukraine-focussed line currently operates only from Monday to Friday. Ukraine-related calls are handled by the main line outside these times.
Shift times generally run from 10am-1pm, and 1pm-5pm. However, some flexibility around this is possible.
A briefing is provided before each shift, and a debriefing takes place at the end of each shift.
Location details:
This is a Volunteer From Home opportunity, requiring access to a computer, internet connection, telephone, and a quiet space to perform the role.
