As a digital charity, our social media channels are very important to us for raising awareness of who we are and what we do. Our aim is to develop a strong online presence and maximise engagement across all of our social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin & Tiktok. Your role within the charity will help us to reach a wider audience and in turn support more individuals affected by covid-19.

The duties of a social media officer volunteer may include:
Maintaining active social media accounts
Creating and/or posting content on different social media channels, e.g. generating engaging instagram stories/interactive story polls etc
Engaging with our social media audience, e.g. responding to comments/messages on our social media channels
Suggest ideas to increase online engagement
Keep up to date with social media trends and
Liaising with other departments (fundraising, community etc) to understand and create effective content that is targeted at specific requirements

By building an empowering and caring community, we want to help anyone who may not have found the right resources or support system to help. We provide a safe space where your voice can be heard, and you can gain access to support specific to your needs.










Frequency and commitment details

1-2 hours per week


Experience required: Excellent knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin & Tiktok Experience in Canva Pro would be desirable Experience in the use of Social Media Scheduling Platforms, e.g. Buffer Shows initiative Eagerness to learn and keep up with social media trends Experience in communication and/or social media
Travel details: No travel required as this is a remote, online role.
Minimum age: 16


Expenses details: No expenses required as online role.
Training details: You will receive initial training from our Head of Content and then ongoing training as appropriate.
