The Remakey is a shop where used and refurbished funiture is available for new homes. The Remakery is a project within Alloa Community Enterprises, a social enterprise with the main aim of the advancement of environmental protection/improvement. Alloa Community Enterprises do this by taking donations of preloved furniture, and sorting it for sale or recycling, ultimately diverting it from landfill.
This is an exciting opportunity for a volunteer to support Alloa Community Enterprises/Remakery team with our Marketing and Social Media. You may have experience in this area or maybe you are technically minded and would like to learn new skills and increase your employability. We are looking for someone who can help expand on, and help manage our social media and online shops. This would be a great placement opportunity for a student to showcase their experience.
Volunteers will work with staff to identify promotional opportunities using popular online social media platforms.
Volunteers can expect to be helping encourage recycling of furniture and use of other facilities
Promote Information of the services we provide by keep social media platforms up to date with latest developments and growing Alloa Community Enterprise's online following and local presence on social media.
Volunteer will be asked to help expand the online stores as well as helping to manage the website

This role will initially be mainly home based due to current social distancing restrictions.
To provide such services as may be connected with the improvement and/or protection of the environment for the benifit of the community. Provide jobs, training and volunteering to local people. Help Clacks residents purchase good-quality furniture at affordable prices. Committed to protecting the environment by reducing furniture disposal to landfill. To make donations (whether by way of gift aid or otherwise), and/or provide other forms of support, to Alloa Enterprises Ltd (and that irrespective of whether the provision of such support advances the interest of the company)
Successful applicants are required to become a member of the PVG scheme.
Experience required: An understanding of social media.
