Description

Forth Valley Flyers (www.forthvalleyflyers.org.uk) are an athletics club for those with a sensory, physical or learning disability. They train from Grangemouth Stadium but draw members from the Forth Valley and beyond.

They currently have an exciting opening for a Volunteer Lead Fundraiser which would raise funds for specialist equipment, competitions and making the club more self-sustaining.

The aim of the role is to lead a small team of parent helpers to raise funds for the club, from internal and external sources (this could be social activities, sponsored events, or securing grants for example). The Club committee and Club Together Officer will support you in the role. The main duties of the role will include: working with the Committee to set fundraising targets; lead the fundraising sub-committee; arrange social events for the club; and raise sponsorship/donations from local/national businesses

To carry out the role, we are looking for someone who is able to:

  • commit an average of 3 hours a month to the role
  • lead a fundraising team and communicate effectively
  • meet targets
  • have an outgoing personality and able to motivate.
  • have/gain knowledge of local businesses
  • bring previous fundraising experience (although this is preferred, not essential!)

If you are interested in the role, please get in touch with Harry Baird at flyers.cto@hotmail.com
