Join a policy panel with Inclusion Scotland to work with the Scottish Government to develop adult social care support policy in Scotland. 50 people will be recruited from across Scotland to be a representative panel of the different ways people use adult social care, and their different circumstances. From the 50 people, 20 people will form a Core Group to meet with the Scottish Government four times a year.

Inclusion Scotland (IS) is a consortium of disability organisations, individual disabled people and social partners who share our aims. We work towards eradicating the barriers – physical, economic, cultural and attitudinal – which prevent disabled people being fully included in society. The website has an online directory of disability and equality groups and organisations We do this by:- • By lobbying public and private bodies • By providing information that assists groups to be more effective • Through our Policy into Practice project and Contact 100 groups • Through our Outreach and Development Project • Through partnership working across all the equalities strands • Through our awareness raising Roadshows across Scotland • By being involved in various working groups and advisory committees Our Aim:- To empower disabled people to have an effective voice at policy and decision making level in Scotland and beyond.
Experience required: Experience of needing adult social care support as a service user, or a carer. Expenses, support and training will be given.

Training details: Information and training videos given on a range of relevant topics. Training will take place at the first meeting. Will be offered dependent on what is needed for the participants.
