Horsecross Arts, the creative charity behind Perth Theatre and Perth Concert Hall is seeking a new Chair and additional Trustees to support the organisation into its next phase of development, to ensure robust governance structures and practices are in place, and to work closely with the Chief Executive on the future of the organisation.

Our Trustees give their time voluntarily – in return we offer the opportunity to play a lead role in the future of our
organisation. Horsecross Arts is a registered charity and is a major contributor to the local community and economy. As a trustee you will gain important strategic experience and boost your professional networks.

Organisation aims and objectives

Horsecross Arts is the creative organisation which runs Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre, Scotland’s oldest theatre company. It is run as an independent charity supported by Perth & Kinross Council. Our activities and programmes span a wide range of artistic genres, theatre, classical and contemporary music, classical, dance, digital arts, conference and events. At our core is our creative learning which offers a wide range of classes across art forms engaging with individuals, families, and communities across Perth and Kinross.

Experience required: • Experience of performing arts management, programming, and production • Experience of the tourism sector, ideally events and business tourism • Experience of strategic financial and risk management • Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the arts in Scotland • Up-to-date experience of marketing and communications • Experience of managing organisational risk • Knowledge and understanding of community engagement and learning
