Community Support Volunteer – Western Isles
Chest Heart and Stroke, Scotland, Western Isles is looking for volunteers to support their service users. Volunteers are vital to the service – can you help?
This role is currently phone based due to COVID.
We have a range of volunteer roles such as communication, administration and helping to organise activities to give support to those who are living with Chest Heart or Stroke Conditions.
We will provide volunteer training for these roles, including communication support, providing accessible information and creating a safe and stimulating environment.
Volunteering hours are flexible and through providing one to one support, will enable people to resume activities in a hospital environment and / or within their own home or their local community.
You will be provided with full training and the post is subject to PVG Disclosure.

Organisation aims and objectives

Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) aims to improve the quality of life for people affected by chest, heart and stroke illness in Scotland. The organisation funds medical research and provides a range of support services for people in the community. We rely on a team of over 1000 volunteers across Scotland to help deliver services to people who have suffered a stroke or Heart Failure and help to raise the funds needed.
