Community Volunteer (Aberdeenshire)

  • VO85150

Description

We are looking for ayone with an interest in enhancing the lives of the people we support to get in touch as although we are a social care company we are seeking both individuals interested in social care and also other individuals who have some other skill set and would like to use this within our services. This could be from playing musical instruments to gardening or taking service users into the community.
During this time of covid-19 the main task may include going for service users shopping and delivering it to them or by going to get their prescriptions.

Organisation aims and objectives

Real Life Options was first established in 1992 to support and empower people with learning disabilities and autism to have more choice and greater control over their lives. Over the last three decades, we have grown to become a national provider of social support and care while staying true to our core ethos. We support people across the UK to develop their independence and achieve their potential. We recognise that to be excellent in our field, we need to truly understand and champion the changing needs and aspirations of the people we support. Through partnerships with families, thought-leader organisations and professional services, we believe in constantly evolving and providing a person-centred approach at every step in an individual’s support journey.
