Description

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will be responsible for the design coordination and implementation of the evaluation frameworks for:

  1. The Primary School Educational Programme Pilot ( 1 class in 1 school; discussion paper and draft action plan are available)
  2. The rollout Educational Programme ( range of classes in a number of schools – dependent on outcome of pilot)
  3. The Social Impact Assessment ( draft paper available)
    Main tasks

• Design and implement project evaluation frameworks – including qualitative and quantitative data
• Collect data on agreed basis and provide support re data tracking, cleansing, quality and analysis to the Directors and volunteers involved in the pilot / programmes
• Agree performance indicators and associated measurement
• Maintain a log of evaluation activities
• Maintain and administer the database , analyse and report findings
• Ensure compliance with GDPR ( 2018) and other statutory requirements
• Provide technical/ computer based monitoring and evaluation support to Directors /project volunteers
• Identify lessons learned and advise on improving performance and outcomes
• Produce reports and presentations as required by the Directors and by required deadlines

Organisation aims and objectives

We are a social enterprise that aims to support people to reduce their plastic waste by giving advice and selling products to make this easier. We do this on social media and via our online shop.

Frequency and commitment details

• Working days/pattern to be agreed with successful candidate but should be available for occasional collaborative working at weekends

Restrictions

• You will have access to your own laptop with internet connection. We do not currently have premises so we will work and collaborate remotely
Experience required: • Knowledge of evaluation methodologies in the context of Social Enterprise – quantitative, qualitative and measuring impact • Experience in Database management and compliance with GDPR and other statutory requirements • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet management • Experience in designing and implementing evaluation frameworks at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels • Ability to manage data – collection, cleansing , analysis and reporting • Ability to work independently
Minimum age: 16

Training details: • Close working with Directors, other contractors and volunteers. • Possibly of attendance at FirstPort Scotland and Just Enterprise training and development workshops
