Community Events Support Volunteers

  • VO84845

Description

To raise awareness of the effects of climate change and support the local community to move to a lower carbon lifestyle.

We require a volunteer(s) to help with the organisation and running of our local level community events. This role is best suited to those who are flexible, enthusiastic about protecting the environment and friendly. This could involve, but is not limited to, designing, printing and hanging of posters, creating social media graphics to advertise events, setting up Facebook or Eventbrite Event pages, and helping on the day of any event to set up at the venue, talk to the public about our project, and provide any service central to the event itself such as ticketing attendees or manning a tea and coffee stand. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, many of our activities have shifted to being online, so your volunteering time may be spent making up sewing packs or cooking packs, then delivered to participants. Our Sustainable Kirriemuir events, activities and campaigns are extremely dynamic and no two events or activities are ever the same. This will give you an opportunity to help with something joyful and engaging for yourself and the community, whilst gaining a broad range of events experience and never being bored. Let’s get people caring about our planet by having fun!
