Assist with the meet and greet of visitors to the museum and help within the gift shop.

Organisation aims and objectives

The purpose of The Highlanders' Museum is to:- 1. Provide an educational facility to supply authoritative information on all aspects of Highland military heritage to the widest possible public audience. 2. Collect, conserve and display items connected with the Regiment today and its antecedents, and with the military history of the Highlands and Islands. 3. To maintain a permanent Regiment focal point for the benefit of members of the Regiment, past and present, their families and descendants, the communities of the Highlands and Islands, and the general public, to generate goodwill and an understanding of the effect the Regiments have played on the social history of the Region.

Restrictions

Experience required: All training will be given to volunteers.
Travel details: Personal transportation would be preferable, however the bus to Ardersier can be met, on arrangement, by a member of staff who can drive the volunteer to the museum.
Minimum age: 17

Expenses paid: Yes
Expenses details: Mileage (restricted) and public transport costs are recompensed.
Taster details: On arrangement, the potential volunteer can visit and receive a briefing.
Training details: Training is conducted by our permanent staff as well as experienced volunteers.
