Description

If you are interested in campaigns, fundraising, or a career in the third sector, this will be a fantastic experience for you. You will meet an amazing group of people, develop skills and work experience, and help your local mental health charity.

Everyone has the right to live a full and satisfying life. At Health in Mind, we provide the tools, information and support to help people cope with life’s challenges. To find out more about the work we do, please visit health-in-mind.org.uk

To raise money for the work of Health in Mind, we are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated people to join our Student Fundraising Group. The group has been operating for three years and has held a number of events including bake sales, a pub quiz and poetry slam. This year, we are looking for creative minds to develop fundraising ideas following the Scottish government social distancing guidelines.

Group Tasks:
• With help and guidance from the Fundraiser, you will meet weekly (via Zoom, or social distanced in person) to discuss fundraising ideas and from these meetings, organise bi-annual campaigns / events for Health in Mind.
• Tasks will also include the promotion and running of campaigns and events.

In return, you will:
• Have fun meeting new people
• Develop your skills and experience in event management, fundraising and the third sector planning
• Make a huge difference to Health in Mind.

We understand that these are uncertain times, and we are here for you. Health in Mind is following Scottish government guidelines on coronavirus closely, and we will clearly outline your responsibilities and guidelines for volunteering regarding coronavirus. We will also support you throughout your volunteering and regularly update you on all volunteer related coronavirus policies.
