Friendship Group Volunteer

Town Break Falkirk is a new initiative in dementia support services and is fully funded by the Falkirk Health and Social Care Partnership. We hope to have 3 friendship groups running in the Falkirk area, they will be monthly and will take place between 12.30-3.30 in the following locations: Grangemouth group is held the first Thursday of the month, and Laurieston group will be on a Wednesday afternoon, the third location is still to be confirmed.

Volunteers will have the chance to have afternoon tea once a month with good company, whilst making a difference in the life of both a person with a diagnosis of dementia and their carer. Volunteers tasks will be varied but will include setting up tables and chairs, taking part in activities and making and serving refreshments.

A member of staff will also be in attendance to oversee the group, bring along refreshments, arrange activities and assist with set up.
