Purpose of the role To ensure visitors are directed to the correct area and that good hand hygiene and social distancing practices are observed Tasks include; • Welcome visitors to sites • Guide visitors to correct locations on site • Escort those who require additional support to correct location • Direct visitors to the hand gel • Remind visitors about social distancing • Liaise with portering service as required for wheelchairs • Take deliveries to wards as appropriate e.g. things dropped off for patients by families

As a Support Group volunteer you will take care of all aspects of the group including: Act as main contact for the group Organise and maintain an email circulation list of attendees Arrange speakers for group meetings Organise room bookings Organise social activities Support and advise other group volunteers Promote group in local area Adhere to Fertility Network Scotland policies and procedures Fertility Network Scotland provides advice, information and support to anyone affected by fertility issues. We raise awareness of the impact of fertility problems and campaign for fair provision of fertility treatment throughout Scotland. By volunteering you can help those who need support. SKILLS: Good communication and leadership skills, Reliability and trustworthiness, Knowledge of fertility issues (essential), the ability to work as part of a team, Motivated with good administrative and IT skills to help the group operate at it's best, Public speaking skills, willing to attend events RESTRICTION: This opportunity offers peers support therefore restricted to those with knowledge/experience of fertility issues.

Fertility Network Scotland Volunteers help promote the Fertility Network Scotland charity in the local area and the services we provide. This can include: *Distribute Fertility Network Scotland leaflets/posters in the area including GP clinics, libraries, hospitals, community centres etc *Participate at fundraising events Fertility Network Scotland provides advice, information and support for anyone affected by fertility issues. We also work to raise awareness of the impact of fertility problems and to campaign for fair provision of fertility treatment throughout Scotland. Good training and support is provided.
